It has been awhile!

After leaving Mammoth Lakes, we hiked through a few more areas with downed trees.

Thousand Island Lake was beautiful.

As was the hike into Yosemite.

Mosquitos hounded us as we neared Sonora Pass.
This is my "bug repellent" shirt.

Our Hero, Wrong Way, hitched into Bridgeport and sent our bear cannisters away for us.

Are we in Hawaii?

Mile 1100!  (Joker in the background!)

Aloha Lake did not look so inviting.

Near Lake Tahoe, the PCT and the Tahoe Rim Trail are contiguous.

Forget-Me-Not

Omelette anyone?

Pine Forest Orchid

Leopard Lily

In Sierra City, we found a box of goodies from the Bendlers!
(The contents of which we demolished in 4 hours.)

A box from the Newlywed Liens!

And one from the Dybvigs!
We are loved!
And spoiled!

Bitter Root?

Middle Fork of the Feather River.

Sometimes we are blessed with sweet, clean, cold spring water.

Timmy found a tree swing.

We ran into a Music Festival that seemed more like a rave in Belden.

As well as gold miners, gold mining equipment, and even section hikers with gold flakes.

Mile 1300.

And later that day, the midpoint of the trail!

Dirty Girl Gaiters sent me some fun new gaiters!
Free!

In Old Station we met Zeek, a 15 1/2 yr old, half coyote, wonder dog.

On the Hat Creek Rim, we caught our first glimpse of Mt. Shasta.

Meet McGaffe.

He is Tiger's new friend.

Is this some strange Easter?  Should we be hunting for them?

Tim keeps finding Maple Buns in our resupply boxes!

Mt. Shasta

Our first on trail berries!

Mile 1500!  We will be out of California in a week!
